International Cooperation

“We are with the international community.”

Since its founding in 2010, NAUH has been continually cooperating with the international community.
In 2016, NAUH attended the NOYDA International Conference in the Philippines.
In 2017, Ji Seong-ho, representative of NAUH spoke at the Democratic Forum, hosted by the US Department of State. In addition, we advocated North Korean Human Rights at the US Congress, held the North Korean Human Rights Conference at Princeton University, and met with former US President Jimmy Carter.

In the next year, 2018, we were invited to the Trump’s State of the Union Address and gave a testimony about the realities of human rights abuses in North Korea. We also participated in the North Korean Human Rights Situation Symposium held at UN Headquarters in New York.

In May of that year, we were awarded the Democracy Award by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
We are consistently cooperating with the international community to improve human rights of North Koreans.
The reality is that no fundamental changes in the human rights situation in North Korea are being made.
Nevertheless, NAUH will continue to appeal to the attention and efforts of the world to improve North Korean human rights.
