North Korean Human Rights in the Heart of the United States

On July 11th, NAUH (Now Action & Unity for Human rights) CEO Ji Seong-ho was invited to an event in Washington DC to raise awareness about human rights in North Korea.

A number of senior US officials attended this event. Ed Royce, the chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, pointed out that "everyone has the right to enjoy their own lives, but in North Korea, only Kim Jung-eun enjoys life."

In addition, Ted Yoho, the East Asian Agency chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee held up a small book containing the Declaration of Independence and the constitution of the United States during his talk to emphasize that the North Korean residents should be enabled to enjoy their freedom.

At the ceremony, NAUH Representative Ji asked the participants for help, saying, "North Korea’s authority is cruel because they systematically commit human rights violations of North Koreans. Evil cannot win. Please join us in helping North Koreans find freedom."
